  1. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff.
  2. Assist with patient care activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  3. Record intake and output measurements accurately.
  4. Monitor patients' oxygen levels and administer oxygen therapy as directed by the nursing staff.
  5. Perform EKGs and report any irregularities to the nursing staff.
  6. Keep patient rooms and equipment clean and organized.
  7. Collaborate with the nursing staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  8. Respond promptly to patient calls and requests.
  9. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  10. Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure patient privacy is respected.
  11. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on relevant skills and knowledge.
  12. Assist with patient transfers and transport as needed.
  13. Utilize electronic medical records to accurately document patient information and care.
  14. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  15. Act as a patient advocate and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
  16. Follow established procedures and protocols to ensure quality patient care.
  17. Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the nursing staff or supervisor.
  18. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  19. Maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor at all times.
  20. Adhere to all Sutter Health policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification As A Nursing Assistant: Candidates Should Possess A Valid Nursing Assistant Certification From An Accredited Program.

  • Previous Experience In Cardiac Monitoring: Prior Experience As A Monitor Technician Or In A Similar Role, With A Focus On Cardiac Monitoring, Is Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Ekg Interpretation: A Strong Understanding Of Ekg Interpretation And The Ability To Recognize And Report Abnormalities Is Essential For This Role.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Necessary For Effective Collaboration With The Healthcare Team And Accurate Reporting Of Patient Information.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment And Adapt To Changing Patient Needs Is Crucial For A Successful Float Pool Monitor Technician Nursing Assistant.
