  1. Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels.
  2. Utilize various monitoring equipment and technology to accurately track and record patient data.
  3. Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to provide timely and accurate updates on patient conditions.
  4. Recognize and report any abnormal changes in patient vital signs to appropriate medical staff.
  5. Assist in critical care decision-making by providing accurate and timely information on patient status.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is properly functioning and well-maintained.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  9. Continuously update knowledge of new technology and procedures to provide the best possible care for patients.
  10. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism towards patients and their families.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to maintain a high standard of patient care.
  12. Assist in training and mentoring new monitor technicians as needed.
  13. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by communicating effectively and working as a team.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: A Monitor Technician At Sutter Health Should Possess A Valid Certification In Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation, Such As Certified Cardiographic Technician (Cct) Or Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (Crat).

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience As A Monitor Technician In A Healthcare Setting Is Required For This Role. Experience Working In An Eicu Or Critical Care Unit Is Preferred.

  • Technical Skills: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Electrocardiograph (Ecg) Interpretation And Be Able To Identify And Respond To Abnormal Cardiac Rhythms. Proficiency In Using Electronic Medical Record (Emr) Systems And Other Monitoring Equipment Is Also Important.

  • Attention To Detail: As A Monitor Technician, You Will Be Responsible For Monitoring Multiple Patients Simultaneously. Therefore, Attention To Detail And The Ability To Accurately Interpret And Document Cardiac Rhythms Is Crucial.

  • Communication And Teamwork: This Role Requires Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With The Healthcare Team And Provide Timely Updates On Patient Status. The Candidate Should Also Be Able To Work Collaboratively With Other Healthcare Professionals In A Fast-Paced And High-Pressure Environment.
