  1. Coordinate and manage all administrative tasks related to the medical staff, including scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and preparing reports.
  2. Serve as the main point of contact for medical staff members, addressing any inquiries or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Facilitate the credentialing and privileging process for new and existing medical staff, ensuring all necessary documentation is obtained and up-to-date.
  4. Collaborate with various departments within the organization to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
  5. Coordinate and assist with the onboarding and orientation of new medical staff members, providing them with the necessary information and resources to integrate smoothly into the organization.
  6. Act as a liaison between the medical staff and other departments, fostering effective communication and promoting a collaborative work environment.
  7. Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise within the medical staff, working closely with leadership to find solutions and promote a positive team dynamic.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medical staff credentials, licensure, and certifications, adhering to all privacy and confidentiality regulations.
  9. Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations and policies, and communicate any updates or changes to the medical staff as necessary.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the medical staff department, making recommendations and implementing changes as needed.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Medical Staff Bylaws And Regulations: As A Medical Staff Coordinator At Sutter Health, It Is Essential To Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Organization's Medical Staff Bylaws And Regulations. This Includes Knowledge Of Accreditation Standards, State And Federal Laws, And Other Regulatory Requirements.

  • Experience In Credentialing And Privileging: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have Experience In Credentialing And Privileging Processes, Including Maintaining Accurate And Up-To-Date Records, Verifying Credentials, And Ensuring Compliance With Regulatory Standards.

  • Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills: The Medical Staff Coordinator Is Responsible For Managing A Large Volume Of Sensitive Documents And Ensuring Their Accuracy And Completeness. Strong Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills Are Necessary To Maintain Compliance And Efficiency In This Role.
