Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: A Qualified Candidate For A Medical Assistant Position At Sutter Health Should Have Completed An Accredited Medical Assistant Program, Which Includes Coursework In Medical Terminology, Anatomy And Physiology, Clinical Procedures, And Medical Office Management.

  • Certification From A Recognized Organization: Many Medical Facilities, Including Sutter Health, Require Medical Assistants To Be Certified By A Recognized Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt).

  • Proficiency In Pediatric Care And Procedures: As A Medical Assistant In A Pediatric Setting, Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Pediatric Care, Including Knowledge Of Common Childhood Illnesses, Vaccinations, And Developmental Milestones. Experience Working With Children And Their Families Is Also Highly Valued.
