  1. Provide compassionate and dedicated care to pediatric patients.
  2. Collaborate with a team of experienced healthcare professionals to deliver quality care.
  3. Assist with the daily operations of the Pediatrics department.
  4. Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient visits.
  5. Greet and check-in patients, verify insurance information, and update medical records.
  6. Record and document patient vitals, medical history, and current medications.
  7. Administer vaccines and medications as directed by physicians.
  8. Assist with in-office procedures and treatments.
  9. Communicate with patients and their families in a professional and empathetic manner.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  11. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  12. Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
  13. Keep up-to-date with current medical practices and procedures.
  14. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: A Candidate For A Medical Assistant Position At Sutter Health Should Have Completed A Formal Training Program From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Individual Has Received Proper Education And Training In The Field Of Medical Assisting.

  • Certification As A Medical Assistant: Along With Completing A Training Program, A Candidate Should Also Hold A Valid Certification As A Medical Assistant. This Certification Demonstrates The Individual's Knowledge And Skills In Medical Assisting, Making Them A Valuable Asset To The Pediatric Team At Sutter Health.

  • Experience In A Pediatric Setting: Sutter Health Is Specifically Looking For Medical Assistants Who Have Experience Working In A Pediatric Setting. This Experience Shows That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Unique Needs And Challenges Of Working With Children, And Is Able To Provide Compassionate And Effective Care To Young Patients.

  • Knowledge Of Pediatric Procedures And Protocols: A Medical Assistant Working In Pediatrics Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Pediatric Procedures And Protocols, Such As Administering Vaccinations, Measuring Vital Signs, And Assisting With Pediatric Exams. This Knowledge Is Essential For Ensuring The Safety And Well-Being Of Young Patients.
