- Provide administrative and clinical support to medical providers in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including taking vitals, updating medical history, and assisting with treatments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensure confidentiality of all medical information.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow to ensure timely and efficient care.
- Handle front desk responsibilities, such as greeting patients, answering phone calls, and managing patient inquiries and concerns.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care and service delivery.
- Perform basic medical procedures, such as collecting and processing lab specimens, administering medications, and dressing wounds.
- Keep exam rooms and other clinical areas clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Educate patients on post-care instructions, medication administration, and other relevant health information.
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations and protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
- Demonstrate a compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within the shared staff team.
- Represent Sutter Health in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Medical Assistant In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Multi-Specialty Clinic Or Hospital Environment.
Current Certification As A Medical Assistant (Cma) From An Accredited Program.
Demonstrated Proficiency In Performing Medical Procedures, Such As Taking Vital Signs, Administering Injections And Medications, And Assisting With Minor Surgeries Or Procedures.
Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Electronic Medical Records, And Insurance Billing Processes.
