- Greet and welcome patients in a warm and friendly manner.
- Assist providers in delivering personalized treatment plans that incorporate both traditional and alternative medicine.
- Take and record patient vitals, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature.
- Prepare exam rooms and assist with procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Educate patients on holistic healthcare practices and provide resources as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and other healthcare team members.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
- Handle patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Keep medical supplies and equipment stocked and organized.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient satisfaction and excellent customer service.
Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: A Medical Assistant At Sutter Health Should Have Completed A Recognized Medical Assistant Program, Demonstrating Knowledge And Skills In Both Clinical And Administrative Tasks.
Certification As A Medical Assistant: Sutter Health May Require Certification As A Medical Assistant Through A Nationally Recognized Organization, Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or American Medical Technologists (Amt).
Knowledge Of Integrative Health Principles And Practices: Sutter Health Is Committed To Providing Integrative Health Services To Patients, And Therefore Seeks Medical Assistants Who Have A Strong Understanding Of Integrative Health Principles And Practices.
Experience In A Clinical Setting: A Medical Assistant At Sutter Health Should Have Experience Working In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Primary Care Or Integrative Health Practice. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Day-To-Day Operations And Can Provide High-Quality Patient Care.
