  • Provide high-quality care to patients with endocrine disorders, including assisting with procedures and treatments, administering medications, and monitoring patient vitals
  • Take accurate and detailed patient histories, record vital signs, and update electronic medical records
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a positive patient experience
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including restocking supplies and sterilizing equipment
  • Follow all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Act as a patient advocate, addressing any concerns or questions they may have and providing appropriate resources and support
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and obtaining necessary authorizations for procedures and tests
  • Stay current with industry trends, updates, and regulations related to endocrinology and medical assisting
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge and maintain required certifications.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Recognized Medical Assistant Program: This Qualification Ensures That The Candidate Has Received The Necessary Education And Training In Medical Assisting, Including Knowledge Of Anatomy, Medical Terminology, And Clinical Procedures.

  • Certification As A Medical Assistant (Cma): A Cma Certification From A Nationally Recognized Organization, Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants, Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met Rigorous Standards And Possesses The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Perform The Duties Of A Medical Assistant.

  • Experience In An Endocrinology Setting: Due To The Specialized Nature Of This Role, Experience Working In An Endocrinology Clinic Or Department Is Highly Desired. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Unique Needs And Protocols Of Endocrinology Patients.

  • Proficiency In Electronic Health Record (Ehr) Systems: Sutter Health Utilizes Electronic Health Records To Manage Patient Information, So Proficiency In Ehr Systems Is A Crucial Qualification. This Includes Knowledge Of Inputting Patient Data, Scheduling Appointments, And Electronic Prescribing.

  • Strong Communication And Patient Care Skills: As A Medical Assistant, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Excellent Communication And Patient Care Skills Are Essential For Building Strong Relationships And Providing Quality Care To Patients.
