Medical Assistant, Allergy, San Carlos / Palo Alto

1. Greet and welcome patients to the Allergy department in a friendly and professional manner.
2. Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
3. Assist with patient intake procedures, including taking vitals, obtaining medical history, and documenting in electronic medical records.
4. Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and ready for patient use.
5. Administer allergy testing and treatments under the supervision of a physician.
6. Educate patients on allergy treatment plans and provide them with resources for managing their allergies.
7. Schedule appointments and follow up with patients to ensure timely and efficient care.
8. Adhere to all HIPAA and safety regulations to protect patient confidentiality and maintain a safe working environment.
9. Collaborate and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
10. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of Allergy.
11. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and strong communication skills when interacting with patients and their families.
12. Maintain accurate and organized records of patient care and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
