- Oversee and manage all operations of the respiratory therapy department, including staff scheduling, budgeting, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality of respiratory therapy services for patients.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, including state and federal guidelines.
- Provide leadership and guidance to respiratory therapy staff, promoting a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Conduct regular training and development programs for staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional patient care.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and effective care for patients.
- Maintain and update department equipment, supplies, and inventory to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Monitor and analyze department metrics and data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance performance.
- Serve as an expert resource for respiratory therapy practices and procedures, staying up-to-date on industry advancements and best practices.
- Actively participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Represent the respiratory therapy department in meetings and committees within the organization, advocating for the needs of the team and patients.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or A Related Field.
Current And Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Certification From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc).
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Managerial Or Leadership Role Within A Respiratory Therapy Department.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Current Respiratory Therapy Practices, Equipment, And Technology.
Strong Communication, Organizational, And Problem-Solving Skills With The Ability To Lead And Effectively Manage A Team Of Respiratory Therapists.
