  1. Perform mammography screenings and diagnostic exams according to established protocols and guidelines.
  2. Operate mammography equipment and prepare patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  3. Maintain accurate and organized patient records and documentation.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the imaging team to ensure timely and efficient patient flow.
  5. Educate patients about the mammography procedure, answer any questions or concerns, and provide emotional support as needed.
  6. Ensure compliance with all safety and quality control standards, including proper positioning and radiation safety protocols.
  7. Stay current with advancements in mammography technology and techniques, and make recommendations for process improvements.
  8. Communicate effectively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely results.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any issues or concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper maintenance and sterilization of equipment.
  11. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  12. Attend training and educational sessions as required to maintain licensure and stay updated on industry developments.
  13. Support a positive and collaborative work environment, contributing to a team-oriented culture.
  14. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the imaging supervisor or director.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Valid Certification In Mammography From An Accredited Institution, Such As The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).

  • Experience: The Applicant Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Performing Mammography Procedures, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Equipment: The Candidate Should Be Familiar With Operating And Maintaining Mammography Equipment, Including Digital Equipment And Computer-Aided Detection (Cad) Systems.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Necessary For This Role, As The Mammography Technologist Will Be Working Closely With Patients And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Attention To Detail: As Mammography Is A Highly Specialized Imaging Procedure, Attention To Detail And Accuracy Are Critical Qualities For A Successful Candidate. The Ability To Identify Abnormalities And Follow Strict Protocols Is Essential For Accurate Diagnosis.
