
Mammography Technologist - Imaging

- Perform mammography screenings and diagnostic exams according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Operate mammography equipment and prepare patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with other members of the imaging team to ensure timely and efficient patient flow.
- Educate patients about the mammography procedure, answer any questions or concerns, and provide emotional support as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality control standards, including proper positioning and radiation safety protocols.
- Stay current with advancements in mammography technology and techniques, and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Communicate effectively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely results.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any issues or concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper maintenance and sterilization of equipment.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Attend training and educational sessions as required to maintain licensure and stay updated on industry developments.
- Support a positive and collaborative work environment, contributing to a team-oriented culture.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the imaging supervisor or director.
Certification: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Valid Certification In Mammography From An Accredited Institution, Such As The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).
Experience: The Applicant Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Performing Mammography Procedures, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.
Knowledge Of Equipment: The Candidate Should Be Familiar With Operating And Maintaining Mammography Equipment, Including Digital Equipment And Computer-Aided Detection (Cad) Systems.
Communication Skills: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Necessary For This Role, As The Mammography Technologist Will Be Working Closely With Patients And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Attention To Detail: As Mammography Is A Highly Specialized Imaging Procedure, Attention To Detail And Accuracy Are Critical Qualities For A Successful Candidate. The Ability To Identify Abnormalities And Follow Strict Protocols Is Essential For Accurate Diagnosis.
