Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required To Become A Registered Nurse And A Lactation Consultant At Sutter Health. This Provides A Solid Foundation In Nursing Principles, Including Anatomy, Physiology, And Patient Care.
Lactation Consultant Certification: Candidates Must Possess A Current Certification From A Recognized Lactation Consultant Organization, Such As The International Board Of Lactation Consultant Examiners (Iblce). This Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Provide Expert Lactation Support To New Mothers.
State Rn License: All Candidates Must Hold A Current And Active Rn License In The State Of California. This Ensures That The Candidate Meets The Minimum Requirements For Education And Clinical Training To Practice As A Registered Nurse.
