  1. Oversee and manage the quality control processes within the laboratory to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
  2. Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to continuously enhance laboratory services.
  3. Monitor and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards, including CLIA and CAP.
  4. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify any potential issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
  5. Collaborate with laboratory staff to develop and revise policies and procedures to ensure quality and efficiency.
  6. Train laboratory personnel on proper quality control procedures and provide ongoing education on regulatory updates.
  7. Stay current with industry developments and best practices to ensure the laboratory remains at the forefront of quality standards.
  8. Facilitate communication and collaboration with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of laboratory services.
  9. Investigate and resolve any customer complaints related to laboratory services.
  10. Prepare and maintain documentation for regulatory inspections and audits.
  11. Provide support and guidance to laboratory staff regarding quality control issues.
  12. Monitor and analyze laboratory data to identify trends and implement improvements.
  13. Ensure all laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  14. Act as a liaison between the laboratory and external agencies, such as inspectors and accrediting bodies.
  15. Participate in quality improvement committees and provide input on laboratory-related issues.
  16. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  17. Collaborate with the laboratory director to develop and implement quality-related goals and objectives.
  18. Communicate and report on quality metrics to management and other stakeholders.
  19. Uphold Sutter Health's mission, vision, and values in all aspects of the job.
  20. Perform any other related duties as assigned by the laboratory director or management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Laboratory Regulations And Accreditation Standards (E.g. Clia, Cap).

  • Experience With Quality Management Systems And Process Improvement Methodologies.

  • Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Train And Educate Staff On Quality-Related Topics.
