
Inpatient Pharmacy Technician

- Dispense Medications: The primary responsibility of the Inpatient Pharmacy Technician will be to dispense medications to patients in a safe and accurate manner. This includes verifying prescriptions, counting and labeling medications, and ensuring proper dosages.
- Collaborate with Pharmacy Team: The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician will work closely with pharmacists and other team members to ensure timely and efficient delivery of medications to patients. This requires excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Maintain Inventory: The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of medications, including restocking and ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure Compliance: It is the responsibility of the Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations related to medication dispensing and storage. This includes maintaining proper records and documentation.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician must have strong customer service skills and be able to interact with patients and healthcare professionals in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Perform Pharmaceutical Calculations: The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician must have a strong understanding of pharmaceutical calculations to ensure accurate dosages and medication administration.

- Maintain Confidentiality: The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician will handle sensitive patient information and must maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Monitor Medication Storage and Handling: The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for monitoring medication storage conditions to ensure medications are stored properly and are not expired.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Completion Of An Accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program
Active Pharmacy Technician License In The State Of Employment
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience As A Pharmacy Technician In A Hospital Or Inpatient Setting
Strong Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations, Drug Distribution Systems, And Medication Administration In A Hospital Setting.
