- Provide exceptional patient care by accurately and safely preparing and dispensing medications in a timely manner.
- Support inpatient pharmacy operations by maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, and restocking medication carts.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication therapy management and patient safety.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of medications and transactions.
- Utilize various computer systems to enter and retrieve patient and medication information.
- Demonstrate proficiency in compounding and packaging medications according to established protocols and standards.
- Adhere to all laws and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications.
- Train and mentor other pharmacy technicians on proper procedures and protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote a safe and efficient workflow.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through participation in educational programs and training opportunities.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience As An Inpatient Pharmacy Technician In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Completion Of A Pharmacy Technician Training Program And Current Certification From A Recognized National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
Advanced Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Medication Dispensing, Inventory Management, And Sterile Compounding.
Strong Proficiency With Pharmacy Software Systems, Such As Epic Or Cerner, And Electronic Medication Administration Record (Emar) Systems.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Healthcare Professionals And Provide Exceptional Customer Service To Patients And Their Families.
