- Dispensing and verifying medications for patients in the electronic intensive care unit (eICU).
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Monitoring patient medication regimens for safety and effectiveness.
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations related to medication management.
- Participating in multidisciplinary rounds and providing medication expertise to the eICU team.
- Educating patients and their caregivers on proper medication use and potential side effects.
- Documenting all medication-related activities accurately and thoroughly.
- Identifying and reporting medication errors or adverse drug reactions.
- Maintaining inventory and ordering medications and supplies as needed.
- Staying up-to-date on new medications, therapies, and treatment protocols.
- Providing guidance and support to pharmacy technicians and other staff members.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and maintaining a high level of patient safety.
- Adhering to Sutter Health's code of conduct and ethical standards.

Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited Pharmacy Program.
Current And Unrestricted Pharmacist License In The State Of Employment.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Inpatient Or Critical Care Pharmacy Practice.
Board Certification In Pharmacotherapy (Bcps) Or Critical Care (Bcccp) By The Board Of Pharmacy Specialties (Bps) Preferred.
Knowledge And Proficiency In Electronic Health Record Systems, Clinical Decision Support Tools, And Telemedicine Technology.
