
Healthcare Facility Planner, Mechanical Engineer

- Design and maintain healthcare facilities: Responsible for utilizing engineering expertise to design and maintain state-of-the-art healthcare facilities that meet the needs of patients and staff.
- Collaborate with team: Work closely with a team of professionals including architects, contractors, and healthcare staff to ensure that facility designs are functional and efficient.
- Conduct research: Conduct research on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to inform facility design decisions.
- Ensure compliance: Ensure that all facility designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and codes.
- Problem-solving: Utilize creative problem-solving skills to address challenges and find innovative solutions to complex facility design problems.

Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering Or Related Field: A Healthcare Facility Planner, Mechanical Engineer At Sutter Health Should Have A Strong Educational Background In Mechanical Engineering Or A Related Field To Have A Solid Understanding Of The Principles And Practices Of Mechanical Engineering In The Healthcare Setting.
Prior Experience In Healthcare Facility Planning: Candidates Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Facility Planning, With A Focus On Mechanical Engineering Design. This Experience Should Include Working On Large-Scale Healthcare Projects And Collaborating With Interdisciplinary Teams.
Knowledge Of Building Codes And Regulations: A Successful Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Building Codes, Regulations, And Standards Specific To Healthcare Facilities. This Includes Knowledge Of Ashrae, Nfpa, And Other Relevant Codes And Standards.
Proficiency In Computer-Aided Design (Cad) Software: Healthcare Facility Planner, Mechanical Engineers Should Be Proficient In Using Cad Software To Create Detailed Mechanical Designs And Drawings. Knowledge Of Other Design Software, Such As Revit Or Bim, Is Also Desirable.
Strong Project Management Skills: The Ability To Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously And Work Within Tight Deadlines Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Have Excellent Organizational, Communication, And Problem-Solving Skills To Effectively Lead And Coordinate Mechanical Engineering Projects For Sutter Health.
