- Analyze and understand the current clinical orders processes within the organization.
- Design and implement new processes and enhancements to the Epic application to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the clinical orders workflow.
- Work closely with other members of the Epic team, including developers, trainers, and project managers, to ensure successful implementation of new features and updates.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the Epic application, providing support and training to end users.
- Monitor and troubleshoot any issues with the Epic application related to clinical orders, working to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop solutions that meet the needs of the organization.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in healthcare technology, and make recommendations for incorporating new tools and strategies into the clinical orders process.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to healthcare technology and data privacy.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to the Epic application, including workflows, user guides, and training materials.
- Participate in testing and validation of new features and updates to the Epic application.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and work to implement changes that lead to better patient care and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and end users to gather feedback and address any concerns related to the Epic application and the clinical orders process.
- Adhere to project timelines and milestones, ensuring that all tasks related to the Epic application are completed on schedule.
- Continuously evaluate and assess the performance of the Epic application, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize its functionality.
- Represent Sutter Health and the Epic application at industry events, conferences, and user groups.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working With Epic Applications, Specifically In The Orders Module.
Epic Certification In Orders Module Or Equivalent Experience.
Strong Understanding Of Clinical Workflows And Processes Related To Orders And Order Sets.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Support To End-Users.
