Job Description

If so, then we have an exciting opportunity for you at Sutter Health as an EEG Technologist, Neurodiagnostic Technician.As an EEG Technologist, you will play a crucial role in our Neurodiagnostic department, conducting EEG tests and other neurodiagnostic procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various neurological conditions. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients.To be successful in this role, you must have a degree in Neurodiagnostic Technology or a related field, as well as certification as an EEG Technologist. You should also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.   1. Conduct EEG tests and other neurodiagnostic procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  3. Maintain a high level of professionalism and patient care while performing all duties.
  4. Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of all equipment used in neurodiagnostic procedures.
  5. Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
  6. Monitor patient's condition and communicate any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  7. Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation.
  8. Stay up-to-date with advancements in neurodiagnostic technology and techniques.
  9. Train and educate other staff members on EEG procedures and equipment.
  10. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  12. Provide excellent customer service and respond to patient inquiries or concerns.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  14. Attend and contribute to departmental meetings and trainings.
  15. Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Neuroscience Or Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Neuroscience Is Essential For An Eeg Technologist To Understand Brain Function And Be Able To Interpret Eeg Results Accurately.

  • Certification From Abret Or Other Recognized Organization: Most Hospitals And Healthcare Facilities Require Eeg Technologists To Be Certified By The American Board Of Registration Of Electroencephalographic And Evoked Potential Technologists (Abret) Or A Similar Organization. This Ensures That The Technologist Has Met Rigorous Standards And Is Qualified To Perform Eeg Tests.

  • Experience In Performing Eeg Tests: Employers Prefer Candidates Who Have Hands-On Experience In Performing Eeg Tests. This May Include Experience Gained Through Internships, Clinical Rotations, Or Previous Employment.

  • Knowledge Of Eeg Equipment And Software: Eeg Technologists Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Equipment And Software Used To Perform Eeg Tests. This Includes Knowledge Of Eeg Machines, Electrodes, Amplifiers, And Computer Software Used To Record And Analyze Eeg Data.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Eeg Technologists Work Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Effectively Communicate Test Results And Collaborate With The Healthcare Team.
