  1. Perform EEG and EKG procedures on patients referred by physicians or other healthcare professionals.
  2. Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and answering any questions or concerns.
  3. Ensure that all equipment is properly set up and functioning correctly before beginning procedures.
  4. Monitor patients during procedures and make note of any unusual or concerning results.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all procedures performed.
  6. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate interpretation and analysis of test results.
  7. Assist in the development and implementation of new EEG/EKG techniques and procedures.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current technology and advancements in the field of neurology and cardiology.
  9. Educate patients on the purpose and process of EEG/EKG testing and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety and infection control protocols.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as HIPAA regulations.
  12. Provide compassionate and patient-centered care to all patients.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a positive experience for all involved.
  14. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  15. Participate in quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of care for patients.
  16. Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.
  17. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of job performance.
  18. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Or Registered Eeg/Ekg Technician: Candidates Must Have A Current Certification Or Registration As An Eeg Or Ekg Technician Through A Recognized Organization, Such As The American Board Of Registration Of Electroencephalographic And Evoked Potential Technologists (Abret) Or The National Alliance Of Cardiovascular Technologists (Nact).

  • Experience With Diagnostic Testing Equipment: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding And Proficiency In Using Diagnostic Testing Equipment, Including Eeg And Ekg Machines, To Perform Accurate And Reliable Tests.

  • Knowledge Of Neurophysiological Principles: A Solid Understanding Of Neurophysiology And The Principles Of Brain And Heart Function Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Have The Ability To Interpret Test Results And Identify Abnormalities.

  • Attention To Detail: As An Eeg/Ekg Technician, Attention To Detail Is Crucial To Ensure Accurate And Precise Readings. Candidates Should Have Excellent Observational Skills And Be Able To Identify And Troubleshoot Technical Issues.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Involves Working Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Necessary To Effectively Communicate Test Results And Collaborate With The Healthcare Team.
