  • Perform high-quality CT scans on patients according to physician orders and department protocols.
  • Operate and maintain CT equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
  • Monitor patient's condition during the scan and respond to any adverse reactions or complications.
  • Position patients correctly and ensure proper use of radiation protection measures.
  • Review and evaluate CT images to ensure diagnostic quality and communicate any abnormalities to the interpreting radiologist.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including patient history, imaging results, and any other relevant information.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for patients.
  • Keep up-to-date with advancements in CT technology and techniques, and participate in continuing education and training programs.
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification And Licensure: A Ct Technologist At Sutter Health Should Possess A Valid Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) And A Current State License To Practice As A Radiologic Technologist.

  • Knowledge Of Ct Equipment And Procedures: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Ct Equipment And Procedures, Including The Ability To Perform Various Specialized Scans Such As Cardiac Ct, Ct Angiography, And Ct-Guided Biopsies.

  • Experience And Education: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Ct Technologist In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting Is Required, Along With A Degree In Radiologic Technology From An Accredited Institution.

  • Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills: As A Ct Technologist At Sutter Health, One Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Should Also Possess Compassion, Empathy, And The Ability To Explain Procedures To Patients In A Clear And Concise Manner.

  • Attention To Detail And Accuracy: Ct Scans Require Precise Positioning Of The Patient And Attention To Detail To Ensure Accurate And High-Quality Images. The Candidate Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Work With Precision And Accuracy.
