  1. Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff to enhance their knowledge and skills in hospice care.
  2. Provide ongoing support and guidance to nursing staff on best practices and evidence-based care for hospice patients.
  3. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for patients.
  4. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in hospice care to continuously improve the education and training provided.
  5. Serve as a mentor and resource for nursing staff, addressing any questions or concerns related to hospice care.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
  7. Develop and maintain educational materials, resources, and tools to support nursing staff in their ongoing learning and development.
  8. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and provide recommendations for enhancing the quality of hospice care.
  9. Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development among nursing staff.
  10. Participate in the recruitment and onboarding process for new nursing staff, providing education and training on hospice care.
  11. Serve as a liaison between the hospice program and other departments within the organization to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  12. Demonstrate strong leadership skills in effectively managing and guiding nursing staff in their roles.
  13. Communicate and collaborate with patients and their families to ensure they are informed and involved in their care.
  14. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements related to hospice care and education.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve the education and training provided, seeking feedback from nursing staff, patients, and their families.

Job Qualifications
  • Current And Active Rn License In The State Of California.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Registered Nurse, With A Focus On Hospice Care.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, With A Preference For A Master's Degree In Nursing Education Or Related Field.

  • Certification In Hospice And Palliative Care, Such As Through The Hospice And Palliative Nurses Association (Hpna).

  • Previous Experience As A Clinical Nurse Educator, Preferably In A Hospice Setting, With Strong Knowledge Of Adult Learning Principles And Teaching Methodologies.
