Job Description

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinic Nurse to join our team as an Infusion Nurse. In this role, you will play a crucial role in administering IV medications and monitoring patients during their infusion treatments.   1. Administer IV medications to patients in a safe and efficient manner, following established protocols and guidelines.
  2. Monitor patients during infusion treatments, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  3. Assess patients' health status and vital signs before, during, and after infusion therapy, and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare team members.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress, including medication dosages and infusion times.
  5. Educate patients and their families about their infusion therapy and provide them with necessary instructions and resources.
  6. Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient.
  7. Ensure the proper handling, storage, and disposal of medications and medical supplies according to established protocols and regulations.
  8. Continuously update and maintain knowledge of current infusion therapy practices and techniques.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety standards.
  10. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare team members.
  11. Adhere to all HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  12. Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families during treatments.
  13. Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  14. Assist with other nursing duties as needed, including but not limited to triaging patients, administering medications, and providing wound care.
  15. Comply with all Sutter Health policies and procedures and uphold the organization's mission and values.

Job Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of California.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Experience In Infusion Therapy And/Or Oncology.

  • Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification.

  • Knowledge Of Iv Therapy And Ability To Administer And Monitor Infusion Medications.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Fast-Paced, Team-Oriented Environment.
