  1. Provide genetic counseling services to families and individuals seeking assistance in understanding and managing genetic conditions.
  2. Conduct thorough genetic assessments and evaluations to identify potential genetic risks and provide appropriate recommendations.
  3. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and genetic testing results.
  4. Educate patients and families on genetic conditions, inheritance patterns, and available testing options.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  7. Participate in ongoing research and stay updated on advancements in the field of genetics to provide the most current and effective care.
  8. Act as a resource for patients and families, providing emotional support and counseling throughout the genetic testing and counseling process.
  9. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of patient care, maintaining confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  10. Attend departmental meetings and trainings to stay informed on departmental policies, procedures, and protocols.
  11. Continuously assess and improve upon counseling techniques and patient care processes.
  12. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working with patients, families, and colleagues.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  14. Collaborate with community organizations and participate in outreach events to promote genetic counseling services and raise awareness about genetic conditions.
  15. Attend conferences and workshops to stay updated on the latest developments in the field of genetic counseling.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Genetic Counseling From An Accredited Program.

  • Board Certification By The American Board Of Genetic Counseling (Abgc) Or American Board Of Medical Genetics (Abmg).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Genetic Counseling, Preferably In A Pediatric Or Outpatient Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Pediatric Genetics, Including Genetic Testing, Counseling Techniques, And Ethical Considerations.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Children, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
