  1. Perform blood draws and other laboratory procedures with accuracy and attention to detail.
  2. Maintain a safe and sterile environment while performing phlebotomy procedures.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals to ensure a positive patient experience.
  4. Follow established protocols and procedures for collecting, handling, and processing blood samples.
  5. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  6. Keep accurate records of all procedures and patient information.
  7. Monitor and maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and reagents.
  8. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry standards and best practices.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and efficient care for patients.
  10. Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  11. Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed.
  12. Uphold the values of compassion, excellence, respect, and integrity in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.
  13. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance.
  14. Stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in phlebotomy and healthcare.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: Must Possess A Valid Certification As A Phlebotomy Technician From A Recognized Accrediting Agency, Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).

  • Education: High School Diploma Or Equivalent Required, With Additional Education Or Training In Phlebotomy Techniques Preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In A Clinical Or Hospital Setting Performing Phlebotomy Procedures Is Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Procedures: Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Laboratory Procedures And Equipment Used In Phlebotomy, As Well As Knowledge Of Safety And Infection Control Protocols.

  • Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For This Role. Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
