As a Cardiovascular Technologist at Sutter Health, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases, using state-of-the-art technology and techniques.   1. Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures: Perform various diagnostic imaging procedures such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and electrocardiograms to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
  2. Operate specialized equipment: Operate and maintain sophisticated equipment used in cardiovascular imaging, ensuring proper functioning and accuracy of images.
  3. Prepare patients for procedures: Communicate with patients to explain procedures and ensure their comfort and safety before, during, and after the imaging procedure.
  4. Monitor patient vital signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs during procedures, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels, and alert medical staff of any abnormalities.
  5. Maintain patient records: Accurately record and maintain patient records, including test results and medical history, in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
  6. Collaborate with healthcare team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  7. Follow safety protocols: Adhere to strict safety protocols to minimize risk and ensure the safety of patients and staff during procedures.
  8. Keep up-to-date with industry advancements: Stay current with new techniques, technologies, and industry advancements in cardiovascular technology to provide the best possible care to patients.
  9. Educate patients: Educate patients on the imaging procedure, answer any questions, and provide instructions for aftercare.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment: Keep work area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies to ensure efficient and effective procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Cardiovascular Technology Or Related Field.

  • Certification From A Recognized Professional Organization, Such As The American Registry Of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (Ardms) Or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (Cci).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Cardiology Or Cardiovascular Department.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Physiology Related To The Cardiovascular System.

  • Ability To Operate And Troubleshoot Complex Medical Equipment Used In Cardiovascular Procedures, Such As Electrocardiogram Machines, Echocardiography Machines, And Stress Test Equipment.
