
Cardiac Sonographer

- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures on patients using specialized equipment to assess heart and its functions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide accurate and timely diagnosis for patients.
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients during procedures.
- Monitor patient vitals and document any changes or concerns during procedures.
- Keep accurate records of procedures performed and patient information.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Educate patients on procedures and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in cardiac imaging techniques and equipment.
- Provide compassionate care to patients and ensure their comfort throughout the procedure.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating patient appointments.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Act as a resource for other team members and assist with training and mentoring new staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude towards patients and colleagues.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and educational sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or departmental leadership.
Appropriate Education And Certification: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Cardiovascular Technology Or A Related Field, As Well As Certification As A Registered Cardiac Sonographer (Rcs) Or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Rdcs) From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).
Proficiency In Echocardiography: Strong Knowledge And Proficiency In Performing Echocardiograms, Including 2D, 3D, And Doppler Studies, As Well As Stress Echocardiograms And Transesophageal Echocardiograms (Tee).
Experience With Cardiac Procedures And Equipment: Prior Experience Working In A Cardiac Setting And Familiarity With Various Cardiac Procedures And Equipment, Such As Pacemakers, Defibrillators, And Stress Test Equipment.
Attention To Detail And Accuracy: The Ability To Accurately Interpret Images And Measurements, As Well As Document Findings And Communicate Them To Physicians And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients And Their Families, As Well As Collaborate With Healthcare Team Members To Provide High-Quality Patient Care.
