- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on a variety of biomedical equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with medical equipment, utilizing technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Repair and calibrate equipment as needed, following manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
- Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs, including documentation of any issues or concerns.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare staff to understand equipment needs and provide timely solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in biomedical technology and equipment, and make recommendations for upgrades or replacements as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working with biomedical equipment.
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure smooth operation and functionality of equipment.
- Train and educate staff on proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, and properly dispose of any hazardous materials.
- Act as a resource for staff regarding equipment functionality and troubleshooting.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff, responding promptly to any equipment-related concerns.
- Follow company policies and procedures and comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency equipment repairs as needed.
- Continuously seek ways to improve equipment operations and efficiency.
Associate's Degree In Biomedical Equipment Technology Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Repairing And Maintaining Medical Equipment.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Standards And Guidelines Such As Fda, Osha, And Joint Commission.
Familiarity With A Variety Of Medical Equipment, Including But Not Limited To, Diagnostic Equipment, Life Support Systems, And Imaging Equipment.
Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And In A Team Environment.
