  1. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on a variety of biomedical equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with medical equipment, utilizing technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  3. Repair and calibrate equipment as needed, following manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
  4. Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs, including documentation of any issues or concerns.
  5. Communicate effectively with healthcare staff to understand equipment needs and provide timely solutions.
  6. Stay up-to-date with advancements in biomedical technology and equipment, and make recommendations for upgrades or replacements as needed.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working with biomedical equipment.
  8. Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure smooth operation and functionality of equipment.
  9. Train and educate staff on proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work area, and properly dispose of any hazardous materials.
  11. Act as a resource for staff regarding equipment functionality and troubleshooting.
  12. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff, responding promptly to any equipment-related concerns.
  13. Follow company policies and procedures and comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
  14. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency equipment repairs as needed.
  15. Continuously seek ways to improve equipment operations and efficiency.

Job Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree In Biomedical Equipment Technology Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Repairing And Maintaining Medical Equipment.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Standards And Guidelines Such As Fda, Osha, And Joint Commission.

  • Familiarity With A Variety Of Medical Equipment, Including But Not Limited To, Diagnostic Equipment, Life Support Systems, And Imaging Equipment.

  • Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And In A Team Environment.
