We are seeking an experienced Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Sutter Health in the Operating Room. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of anesthesia services to our patients.   1. Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, ensuring it is clean and operational for each procedure.
  2. Set up and monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia equipment during procedures.
  3. Assist the Anesthesiologist in administering anesthesia to patients.
  4. Anticipate and respond to the needs of the Anesthesiologist during procedures.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with anesthesia equipment.
  6. Ensure all necessary supplies and medications are stocked and readily available.
  7. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient operating room environment.
  8. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a sterile field at all times.
  9. Document all anesthesia-related activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  10. Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on advancements in anesthesia technology.
  11. Act as a resource and mentor to other members of the healthcare team on anesthesia equipment and procedures.
  12. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  13. Provide exceptional patient care and ensure their comfort and safety at all times.
  14. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  15. Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Education And Training: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required. Additional Training And Certification As An Anesthesia Technician Is Preferred.

  • Experience: Previous Experience Working In An Operating Room Or Healthcare Setting Is Preferred. Experience With Anesthesia Equipment And Procedures Is Highly Desired.

  • Knowledge Of Anesthesia Equipment: Strong Knowledge Of Anesthesia Equipment And Their Functions Is Essential. This Includes Familiarity With Ventilators, Monitoring Devices, And Other Specialized Equipment.

  • Attention To Detail: Anesthesia Technicians Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Follow Strict Protocols And Procedures. This Is Critical For Ensuring Patient Safety During Anesthesia Procedures.

  • Communication Skills: Clear And Effective Communication Skills Are Necessary For An Anesthesia Technician To Work Closely With Anesthesiologists And Other Healthcare Team Members. This Includes The Ability To Communicate Effectively During High-Stress Situations.
