  1. Develop and fabricate prototypes of new medical devices using precision machining techniques.
  2. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to create accurate and precise components.
  3. Operate and maintain various machining equipment, such as lathes, mills, and grinders, to produce high-quality parts.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and designers, to ensure the successful completion of R&D projects.
  5. Perform quality control checks on machined parts to ensure they meet design requirements and specifications.
  6. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality in the R&D machining process.
  7. Keep accurate records and documentation of all machining processes and materials used.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the machining process.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in machining technology to bring innovative ideas to the R&D team.
  11. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery and handling materials.
  12. Train and mentor junior machinists to develop their skills and knowledge in precision machining.
  13. Continuously communicate with team members and provide progress updates on projects.

  • Proficiency In Machining And Fabrication Techniques: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Machining, Including Experience With Computer Numerical Control (Cnc) Machining, Manual Machining, And Other Fabrication Techniques.

  • Knowledge Of Materials And Processes Used In Medical Device Manufacturing: Stryker Is A Leading Medical Device Company, So The R&D Machinist Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Materials Commonly Used In Medical Devices, As Well As The Processes Involved In Their Production.

  • Experience With Cad/Cam Software: The R&D Machinist Should Be Proficient In Using Computer-Aided Design (Cad) And Computer-Aided Manufacturing (Cam) Software To Create And Modify Designs For Medical Devices.
