Job Description

We are looking for a talented and experienced Staff Mechanical Engineer with a passion for engineering and R&D to join Stryker's team. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a strong background in mechanical engineering and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should have a track record of success in the development of innovative medical products and a deep understanding of the product development process.The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 8 years of experience in a product development setting. Experience working with medical device, electro-mechanical, and/or complex products is also desired. In addition, the candidate should be an excellent problem solver, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and display a keen attention to detail. The ability to manage multiple projects and demonstrate effective leadership capabilities is essential.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop innovative medical products.
  2. Lead and manage multiple product development projects.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development.
  4. Utilize mechanical engineering skills and knowledge to develop and refine product designs.
  5. Analyze and troubleshoot problems to ensure product reliability and safety.
  6. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and other departments.
  7. Develop, create, and maintain technical documentation.
  8. Remain up-to-date on industry trends and regulations.
  9. Propose new ideas to improve product designs and development processes.
  10. Monitor and test product performance during the development process.
