
Staff Mechanical Engineer, R&D
We are looking for a talented and experienced Staff Mechanical Engineer with a passion for engineering and R&D to join Stryker's team. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a strong background in mechanical engineering and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should have a track record of success in the development of innovative medical products and a deep understanding of the product development process.The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 8 years of experience in a product development setting. Experience working with medical device, electro-mechanical, and/or complex products is also desired. In addition, the candidate should be an excellent problem solver, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and display a keen attention to detail. The ability to manage multiple projects and demonstrate effective leadership capabilities is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative medical products.
- Lead and manage multiple product development projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development.
- Utilize mechanical engineering skills and knowledge to develop and refine product designs.
- Analyze and troubleshoot problems to ensure product reliability and safety.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and other departments.
- Develop, create, and maintain technical documentation.
- Remain up-to-date on industry trends and regulations.
- Propose new ideas to improve product designs and development processes.
- Monitor and test product performance during the development process.
