- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and establish relationships to ensure quality and cost-effective materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop sourcing plans to meet those needs.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and supply chain data to identify potential risks and develop contingency plans.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Continuously review and improve supply chain processes to drive efficiency and cost savings.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and actively seek out new supplier opportunities.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on sourcing initiatives and address any concerns or issues.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices in sourcing and supply chain management.
- Manage supplier performance and conduct regular supplier evaluations to drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators to track sourcing and supply chain success.
- Mentor and train junior sourcing team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and operations, to ensure alignment of sourcing strategies with overall business goals.
- Proactively identify and address potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to mitigate risk.
Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Strategic Sourcing Or Procurement, Preferably In A Medical Device Or Healthcare Industry.
Proven Track Record Of Successfully Negotiating Contracts And Managing Vendor Relationships.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify Cost-Saving Opportunities And Implement Efficient Sourcing Strategies.
