- Develop and implement new molding processes for the successful launch of new medical devices.
- Lead and manage all aspects of the new product introduction process, from concept to commercialization.
- Utilize technical knowledge and experience to troubleshoot and improve existing molding processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient execution of project plans.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Mentor and train junior engineers on molding best practices and processes.
- Continuously strive for process improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance product quality and performance.
- Communicate project updates and progress to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source and qualify materials for new product development.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to inform decision-making and drive innovation.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing teams during the production of new products.
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance on molding-related issues and initiatives.
Extensive Experience In Injection Molding: A Senior Molding Engineer At Stryker Must Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Injection Molding, With A Strong Emphasis On Process Development And Troubleshooting.
Knowledge Of New Product Introduction Processes: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Npi Process And Be Able To Lead A Project From Concept To Launch, Ensuring All Necessary Molding Requirements Are Met.
Strong Technical Background: The Senior Molding Engineer Should Have A Degree In Mechanical Or Plastics Engineering, With A Strong Technical Understanding Of Mold Design, Tooling, And Materials.
Project Management Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously While Meeting Strict Timelines And Budget Constraints. The Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Leading Cross-Functional Teams And Delivering Results.
