  1. Develop and implement secure software and hardware solutions for cutting-edge medical devices.
  2. Lead the identification and mitigation of potential security risks in product design and development.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product security throughout the entire development process.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in embedded systems and product security.
  5. Conduct security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and propose solutions.
  6. Create and maintain documentation of security requirements, processes, and procedures.
  7. Train and educate team members on product security principles and best practices.
  8. Communicate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies and customers, regarding product security.
  9. Lead the resolution of security incidents and provide guidance on remediation efforts.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve product security processes and procedures.
  11. Serve as a subject matter expert on embedded systems and product security within the organization.
  12. Mentor and coach junior team members to develop their technical skills and knowledge.
  13. Collaborate with third-party vendors and partners to ensure the security of their products and services.
  14. Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management strategies for new and existing products.
  15. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements related to product security.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Embedded Systems: A Principal Product Security Engineer At Stryker Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Embedded Systems, Including Hardware And Software Components. This Includes Experience With Programming Languages Such As C, C++, And Assembly, As Well As Familiarity With Real-Time Operating Systems And Microcontrollers.

  • Experience With Secure Coding Practices: As A Principal Product Security Engineer, You Will Be Responsible For Ensuring The Security Of Embedded Systems Throughout The Development Process. This Requires A Deep Understanding Of Secure Coding Practices, Including Threat Modeling, Vulnerability Assessments, And Secure Coding Techniques.

  • Familiarity With Industry Regulations And Standards: Stryker Is A Medical Device Company, And As Such, Compliance With Industry Regulations And Standards Is Crucial. A Principal Product Security Engineer Should Have Experience With Relevant Standards Such As Iso 13485, Iec 62304, And Iec 60601, As Well As Knowledge Of Regulatory Bodies Such As The Fda.

  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: In Addition To Technical Knowledge, A Principal Product Security Engineer Should Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills. This Includes The Ability To Identify Potential Security Risks And Develop Effective Mitigation Strategies, As Well As The Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Complex Security Issues.
