- Lead the development of embedded systems for cutting-edge medical devices, ensuring that they meet the highest quality and safety standards
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team, serving as a subject matter expert in embedded systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, and quality engineers to ensure seamless integration of embedded systems into overall product design
- Design and implement complex embedded software architectures, utilizing industry best practices and standards
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of embedded systems, identifying and resolving any issues to ensure optimal functionality and performance
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in embedded systems technology, and make recommendations for incorporating new techniques and tools into the development process

Extensive Experience In Embedded Systems: A Principal Engineer At Stryker Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In The Development Of Embedded Systems. This Experience Should Include Designing, Implementing, And Testing Embedded Systems For Medical Devices Or Other Safety-Critical Applications.
Strong Technical Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Hardware And Software Development For Embedded Systems, Including Proficiency In Programming Languages Such As C, C++, And Assembly. They Should Also Have Experience With Real-Time Operating Systems, Microcontrollers, And System-Level Debugging.
Leadership And Project Management Skills: As A Principal Engineer, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Engineers And Managing Complex Projects. Therefore, They Should Possess Excellent Leadership, Communication, And Project Management Skills To Ensure The Successful Delivery Of Projects On Time And Within Budget.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: Stryker Is A Highly Regulated Industry, And The Principal Engineer Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Relevant Regulations And Standards, Such As Fda, Iso, And Iec. They Should Also Have Experience In Developing And Maintaining Design Control Documentation.
Advanced Degree In Engineering: A Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Electrical Or Computer Engineering Is Required For This Position. A Ph.d. In A Related Field Is Preferred, As It Demonstrates A High Level Of Technical Expertise And The Ability To Conduct Independent Research And Development.
