You will be responsible for educating and training surgeons and hospital staff on the use and benefits of Mako, as well as driving sales and adoption of this innovative technology.To excel in this role, you must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in medical device sales, preferably in orthopedics. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and a proven track record of success in a highly competitive market are also required.   1. Educate and train surgeons and hospital staff on the use and benefits of Mako robotic-arm assisted surgery technology.
  2. Drive sales and adoption of Mako technology across the country.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with surgeons and hospital staff to promote the use of Mako technology.
  4. Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and reach sales targets.
  5. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Mako technology.
  6. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute marketing plans.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities.
  9. Analyze sales data and market trends to identify potential opportunities for growth.
  10. Participate in conferences, workshops, and other events to promote Mako technology.
  11. Train and mentor new sales team members on Mako technology and sales strategies.
  12. Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Mako technology and its applications.
  13. Travel to various locations across the country to support and train customers.
  14. Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  15. Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field: A National Mako Specialist At Stryker Should Have At Least A Bachelor's Degree In A Field Related To Healthcare, Such As Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Or Biology. This Educational Background Will Provide A Strong Foundation For Understanding The Technical Aspects Of The Mako System And The Medical Field As A Whole.

  • Experience In Orthopedic Sales Or Clinical Support: Stryker's Mako System Is Primarily Used In Orthopedic Surgeries, So Experience In This Field Is Highly Desirable For A National Mako Specialist. Previous Experience In Sales Or Clinical Support For Orthopedic Products Will Give A Candidate Valuable Knowledge And Skills To Excel In This Role.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Technology: The Mako System Is A Complex And Advanced Medical Technology, So A National Mako Specialist Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Technology In General. This Includes Knowledge Of Surgical Instruments And Equipment, As Well As Software And Data Management Systems.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A National Mako Specialist, One Will Be Working Closely With Surgeons, Hospital Staff, And Other Medical Professionals. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building Relationships, Providing Product Training, And Addressing Any Concerns Or Questions That May Arise.

  • Ability To Travel And Work Independently: Stryker's National Mako Specialists Are Responsible For Covering A Large Geographic Area And May Need To Travel Frequently To Different Hospitals And Medical Facilities. Therefore, A Candidate Should Be Comfortable With Travel And Have The Ability To Work Independently, Managing Their Own Schedule And Tasks Effectively.
