IT Virtualization Engineer

Stryker is looking for an experienced IT Virtualization Engineer to join our team! This role requires a high level of technical expertise and eagerness to learn and develop in the ever-evolving technology space. The successful candidate will have a strong systems engineering background and knowledge of virtualization platforms. Additionally, we are looking for someone who is highly motivated, has excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience• 5+ years of experience with virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, etc.)• Hands-on experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g. PowerShell, Python, etc.)• Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, etc.) and container technologies (e.g. Docker)• Strong understanding of network and storage technologies• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities: • Maintain and troubleshoot virtualization platforms, such as VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, etc. • Use scripting and automation tools, such as PowerShell and Python, to optimize system performance. • Configure and manage cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, etc. and container technologies, such as Docker. • Monitor and maintain network and storage technologies. • Develop and implement plans for virtualization projects. • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of virtualization projects. • Analyze system performance and recommend changes to improve system efficiency. • Provide technical support to end users and other IT teams. • Develop and document best practices and procedures for virtualization projects. • Stay up-to-date with the latest virtualization technologies and trends.
