Job Description

Stryker is looking for a talented Embedded Software Engineer to join our growing team! We are looking for someone with a passion for developing software for embedded systems, and who is eager to take on the challenge of helping us create the next generation of medical technology.The ideal candidate should have experience in developing software for embedded systems (including low-level device drivers, real-time operating systems, and embedded application software) and a demonstrated understanding of embedded software engineering principles and best practices. We are looking for someone with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Previous experience working in a medical device or regulated environment, experience designing and implementing embedded systems using a variety of processors and microcontrollers, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop software for embedded systems, including low-level device drivers, real-time operating systems, and embedded application software.
  2. Design and implement embedded systems using a variety of processors and microcontrollers.
  3. Utilize C/C++ and assembly programming to develop software.
  4. Debug software using debugging tools and techniques.
  5. Collaborate with other software engineers in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot software issues.
  7. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and colleagues.
  8. Follow medical device and regulatory requirements.
  9. Maintain knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in embedded software engineering.
