
Youth Development Counselor

- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for at-risk youth based on their specific needs and goals.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to track progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address behavioral, emotional, and social issues.
- Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for youth.
- Advocate for the needs and rights of youth and provide resources and referrals to address any barriers they may face.
- Create and facilitate educational and therapeutic activities to promote personal and social development in youth.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all interactions and progress made with youth.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in youth development and incorporate them into counseling techniques.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for youth to thrive in and encourage their participation in activities and programs.
- Act as a mentor and role model for youth, promoting positive behaviors and values.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to support and involve them in the youth's treatment and progress.
- Attend trainings and conferences to continuously improve skills and knowledge in working with at-risk youth.
Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working With Youth In A Counseling Or Mentoring Role.
Strong Understanding Of Child And Adolescent Development, As Well As Knowledge Of Trauma-Informed Care.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Rapport With Diverse Populations.
Familiarity With State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Youth Services And Child Welfare.
