Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the sale and disposal of surplus state-owned properties, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.   1. Manage the sale and disposal of surplus state-owned properties in accordance with state laws and regulations.
  2. Conduct thorough research and analysis to determine the market value of surplus properties.
  3. Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract potential buyers for surplus properties.
  4. Collaborate with various state agencies and departments to identify surplus properties and create a plan for their sale.
  5. Maintain accurate records of all surplus properties, including their condition, location, and sales status.
  6. Coordinate property inspections and appraisals to ensure accurate valuations.
  7. Negotiate and finalize sales agreements with potential buyers, ensuring compliance with all legal and financial requirements.
  8. Conduct due diligence on potential buyers to verify their financial and legal qualifications.
  9. Provide regular reports and updates on the status of surplus property sales to state officials.
  10. Collaborate with legal counsel to draft contracts and other legal documents related to property sales.
  11. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations related to real estate sales and ensure compliance at all times.
  12. Act as a liaison between the state government and potential buyers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of surplus property sales processes.
  14. Represent the state in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
