
Income Maintenance Caseworker

- Conduct initial interviews with individuals and families seeking government assistance, gathering information and documentation to determine eligibility for programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, and TANF.
- Analyze financial information, including income, assets, and expenses, to determine eligibility for assistance and calculate benefit amounts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files for each client, documenting all relevant information and ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive data.
- Provide information and guidance to clients on available programs and services, as well as their rights and responsibilities as program participants.
- Collaborate with other agencies and organizations, such as healthcare providers and community-based organizations, to ensure clients receive the necessary support and resources.
- Monitor and review case progress, conducting periodic reassessments as required by program regulations and making necessary adjustments to benefits.
- Respond to client inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues as needed.
- Stay informed of changes and updates to government assistance programs and policies, attending trainings and workshops as necessary to maintain knowledge and expertise.
- Follow all state and federal regulations, guidelines, and procedures in the determination and administration of benefits.
- Work as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives, participating in meetings and trainings, and providing support and assistance to colleagues as needed.
Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Human Services, Or A Related Field.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Income Maintenance Programs.
Experience Working With Diverse Populations And Understanding Of Cultural Competency.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Working With Clients, Colleagues, And Other Stakeholders.
Ability To Manage A High Caseload And Meet Deadlines In A Fast-Paced Environment.
