  1. Develop and implement infection control protocols and policies for healthcare facilities in the State of Pennsylvania.
  2. Educate healthcare personnel on best practices for preventing and controlling HAIs.
  3. Monitor and track HAIs within healthcare facilities and report findings to department leadership.
  4. Conduct on-site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare facilities to develop and implement strategies for reducing HAIs.
  6. Stay up-to-date on new research and developments in infection control and incorporate into protocols as needed.
  7. Act as a resource for healthcare personnel on infection control practices and procedures.
  8. Investigate and respond to reports of potential HAIs in healthcare facilities.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare personnel and facilities to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  10. Participate in departmental meetings and provide updates on infection control efforts.
  11. Conduct training sessions and presentations on infection control to healthcare personnel.
  12. Analyze data and trends related to HAIs and make recommendations for improvement.
  13. Serve as a liaison with other departments and agencies involved in infection control efforts.
  14. Maintain accurate records and reports of infection control activities.
  15. Assist in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures related to infection control.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Public Health, Or Related Field.

  • Certification In Infection Control (Cic) Or Equivalent.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Healthcare Infection Prevention.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Infection Control And Prevention.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Train And Educate Healthcare Staff On Infection Prevention Protocols.
