- Assist in the implementation of pest management strategies, including the use of integrated pest management techniques.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement plans for the prevention and control of insect pests.
- Utilize various tools and techniques to detect and identify insect pests and their damage to trees.
- Educate the public and forest stakeholders about the importance of forest health and the impact of insect pests on the environment.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on insect pest activity and management efforts.
- Assist with the training and supervision of volunteers and seasonal staff.
- Stay current on the latest research and developments in the field of forest insect pests and diseases.
- Participate in outreach events and presentations to promote conservation and natural resource protection.
- Comply with all safety regulations and protocols while working in the field.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by superiors.
Bachelor's Degree In Entomology, Forestry, Or A Related Field.
Knowledge Of Forest Insect Pests And Their Life Cycles.
Experience In Identifying And Monitoring Forest Insect Populations.
Ability To Operate And Maintain Specialized Equipment Used In Forest Insect Pest Management.
Physical Ability To Hike And Work In Various Weather Conditions And Terrain.
