
County Mental Health Program Specialist

- Develop and implement strategies to improve the mental health services provided by the county.
- Collaborate with mental health providers, community organizations, and government agencies to identify and address gaps in services.
- Conduct research and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of current mental health programs and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to mental health providers to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in mental health policies and procedures and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and facilitate training programs for mental health providers to enhance their knowledge and skills.
- Serve as a liaison between the county and state mental health agencies to advocate for improved services and funding.
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation of new mental health programs and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Create and maintain relationships with community members and organizations to promote awareness of mental health resources and services.
- Collaborate with other county departments and agencies to develop and implement cross-sector initiatives to address mental health needs.
- Participate in meetings, conferences, and trainings related to mental health services.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of program activities and outcomes.
- Ensure that all activities and initiatives are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Support and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of mental health services.
- Act as a resource for individuals seeking mental health services and provide referrals as needed.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Mental Health Services Or Program Development.
Knowledge Of County And State Mental Health Regulations And Policies.
Experience In Grant Writing And Managing Budgets.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Stakeholders And Community Partners.
