Job Description

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to effectively reach diverse audiences and promote the organization's goals and initiatives.
  2. Oversee all aspects of media relations, including creating press releases, coordinating interviews, and cultivating relationships with journalists.
  3. Lead a team of communication professionals, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure the team's success.
  4. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and alignment of communication efforts.
  5. Monitor and analyze media coverage and public perception of the organization, identify potential issues, and develop proactive strategies to address them.
  6. Manage the organization's social media presence and website content, ensuring they are engaging, accurate, and reflect the organization's brand.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, government officials, and partner organizations.
  8. Plan and execute public outreach events and campaigns to increase awareness and understanding of the organization's mission and initiatives.
  9. Provide guidance and support to internal teams on communication best practices and strategies.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in communication, and make recommendations for improvement and innovation.
  11. Manage the communication budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
  12. Represent the organization at public events, conferences, and meetings, and serve as a spokesperson when needed.
  13. Ensure all communication efforts adhere to legal and ethical standards.
  14. Prepare and present reports to senior management on communication initiatives and outcomes.
  15. Foster a positive and inclusive work culture, promoting diversity and teamwork among the communication team and across the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Public Relations, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Communications Or Public Relations Role, Preferably In Government Or Public Sector.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Diverse Audiences.

  • Strong Leadership And Team Management Skills, With The Ability To Oversee A Team Of Communications Professionals.

  • Experience In Crisis Communications And The Ability To Handle Sensitive And Confidential Information With Discretion.
