  2. Develop and implement strategies for procuring commodities at the best cost and quality for the state.
  3. Maintain and manage the state's commodities portfolio, including monitoring inventory levels and tracking performance.
  4. Collaborate with various departments and agencies to understand their commodity needs and provide guidance on procurement processes.
  5. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the state.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and compliance requirements related to commodities procurement.
  7. Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
  8. Monitor and track commodity prices and market conditions to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.
  10. Prepare and present reports and data analysis to upper management and other stakeholders to inform decision-making processes.
  11. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to commodity procurement processes.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to increase efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  13. Act as a subject matter expert on commodities procurement and provide guidance and training to other employees as needed.
  14. Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in the commodities market and make recommendations for their implementation.
  15. Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards in all procurement activities.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Commodity Trading, Procurement, Or Sourcing.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Commodity Purchasing And Contracting.

  • Strong Analytical And Negotiation Skills.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Suppliers And Stakeholders.
