- Conduct site visits and assess existing transportation infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and develop plans for upgrades or repairs.
- Collaborate with a team of engineers and other professionals to design and oversee the construction of transportation projects, ensuring that they are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
- Review and analyze engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates to ensure their accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate with local and state government agencies, stakeholders, and contractors to obtain necessary permits and approvals for transportation projects.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure that transportation projects meet design standards and specifications.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and advancements in transportation engineering, and apply this knowledge to improve project design and execution.
- Represent the state at public meetings and hearings related to transportation projects, and respond to inquiries or concerns from the public.
- Comply with all safety protocols and procedures, and ensure that all transportation projects meet safety standards and regulations.
Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering Or Related Field.
Professional Engineer (Pe) Licensure In The State Of Pennsylvania.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Transportation Engineering, Including Design And Project Management.
Strong Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Transportation Engineering.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Engineers And Stakeholders.
