  • Develop and implement transportation projects, including highways, bridges, and public transit systems, in accordance with state and federal regulations and standards.
  • Conduct site visits and assess existing transportation infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and develop plans for upgrades or repairs.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers and other professionals to design and oversee the construction of transportation projects, ensuring that they are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
  • Review and analyze engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates to ensure their accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate with local and state government agencies, stakeholders, and contractors to obtain necessary permits and approvals for transportation projects.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure that transportation projects meet design standards and specifications.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and advancements in transportation engineering, and apply this knowledge to improve project design and execution.
  • Represent the state at public meetings and hearings related to transportation projects, and respond to inquiries or concerns from the public.
  • Comply with all safety protocols and procedures, and ensure that all transportation projects meet safety standards and regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering Or Related Field.

  • Professional Engineer (Pe) Licensure In The State Of Pennsylvania.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Transportation Engineering, Including Design And Project Management.

  • Strong Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Transportation Engineering.

  • Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Engineers And Stakeholders.
