- Collaborate with other state agencies, local communities, and stakeholders to promote responsible forestry practices.
- Supervise and oversee the work of field technicians and other staff members.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to landowners and forest managers on sustainable forestry practices.
- Conduct research and gather data on forestry practices, trends, and regulations.
- Plan and lead educational workshops and training programs for local communities and stakeholders.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with state and federal forestry laws and regulations.
- Organize and participate in public outreach events to promote the importance of forest conservation.
- Manage and maintain accurate records and reports on forest management activities.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and advancements in forestry practices.
- Assist in budget planning and financial management for the district's forestry operations.
- Represent the district at meetings, conferences, and other events related to forestry.
- Collaborate with other district foresters and state foresters to share best practices and coordinate efforts.
- Uphold the values and mission of the State of Pennsylvania and the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
Bachelor's Degree In Forestry, Natural Resource Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Forestry Operations Or Land Management.
Knowledge Of Local And State Laws And Regulations Pertaining To Forestry And Land Management.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Working With Stakeholders, Community Members, And Government Officials.
Proficient In Microsoft Office And Gis Software For Data Analysis And Reporting.
