Job Description

  1. Conduct research on aquatic species, habitats, and ecosystems.
  2. Monitor and assess the health and abundance of aquatic species.
  3. Develop and implement strategies for the sustainable management and conservation of aquatic resources.
  4. Collaborate with a team of experts and stakeholders to achieve conservation goals.
  5. Collect and analyze data to inform decision-making and policy development.
  6. Communicate research findings and recommendations to a variety of audiences, including government agencies, stakeholders, and the general public.
  7. Participate in field work, including collecting samples and conducting surveys.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in aquatic biology and conservation.
  9. Contribute to the development and implementation of state and federal regulations related to aquatic resources.
  10. Assist in the development and management of projects and grants related to aquatic ecosystems.
  11. Provide technical support and expertise to other agencies and organizations on aquatic biology and conservation issues.
  12. Maintain accurate and detailed records of research and monitoring activities.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while conducting field work.
  14. Attend conferences, workshops, and training opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in aquatic biology.
  15. Actively participate in the promotion of environmental stewardship and conservation of aquatic resources in the state.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Biology, Ecology, Marine Science, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience Working In Aquatic Ecology, Marine Biology, Or Related Field.

  • Demonstrated Knowledge Of Aquatic Organisms, Ecosystems, And Environmental Factors.
