
ANTHRACITE UNDERGROUND MINE ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR

- Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems in underground anthracite mines to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Review and analyze electrical plans, diagrams, and schematics to ensure they meet industry standards and comply with relevant codes.
- Collaborate with other inspectors and mining personnel to identify potential hazards and develop solutions for mitigating risks.
- Document and report any violations or safety concerns to appropriate personnel and assist in developing corrective action plans.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to electrical systems in underground mines.
- Conduct training sessions for mine employees on electrical safety procedures and regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to mine operators and contractors regarding electrical systems and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, violations, and corrective actions taken.
- Participate in investigations of accidents or incidents involving electrical systems and provide expert analysis and recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with mine operators, employees, and government officials to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
- Represent the Department of Mines and Mineral Industries at meetings, conferences, and events related to electrical safety in underground mines.
- Uphold the mission and values of the department and promote a positive image of the State of Pennsylvania.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working In Underground Mining Operations, With A Focus On Electrical Equipment And Systems.
Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering Or A Related Field, With A Strong Understanding Of Electrical Codes, Standards, And Regulations.
Certification As A Mine Electrical Inspector From The State Of Pennsylvania Or Equivalent Certification From Another State.
Experience Conducting Inspections And Audits Of Underground Mining Facilities To Ensure Compliance With State And Federal Electrical Safety Regulations.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Technical Information To A Variety Of Stakeholders, Including Mine Operators, Government Officials, And Other Inspectors.
